Bowerham Lane Public Consultation for new homes
Local people in Lancaster get to have their say on proposals by Highbrook Homes to build 25 quality new homes off Bowerham Lane, at a public exhibition on Saturday September 24th in Barton Road Community Centre.
The event takes place from 11.00am through to 4.30pm, and will provide full details of the plans for the development, which includes affordable homes for local families and a single detached bungalow.
Visitors to the exhibition can fill in feedback forms on the day or send their comments to Highbrook Homes before September 30th 2016.
The 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes will be built with energy-saving features including high levels of insulation, double glazing, ultra-efficient heating systems, low energy LED lighting and water-saving measures such as low-flow taps and dual-flush cisterns.
The site is located south of the city centre within easy reach of local schools and amenities. The land is already listed as a ‘deliverable housing site’ and outline planning permission is in place. The proposals are to retain most of the hedgerows along the road frontage, and Highbrook Homes plans to plant almost 9,000m² of additional woodland.
